Empowered Freedom by Saskia Pehlemann - Saskia Klimek-Pehlemann

Who I Am

My name is Saskia Pehlemann — mentor, social worker, and mother of two.

My path to Empowered Freedom began long before I named it. For years I studied Nonviolent Communication, learning to recognise emotions as messages and needs as guidance. That training taught me to listen deeply — to myself and to others — and it revealed why so many of us were raised to perform, please, and serve systems that reward compliance over truth.

But knowledge alone didn’t set me free.

One and a half years ago, I was living with my ex-partner, without a job or childcare, caught in what felt like an impossible loop — I couldn’t work because there was no childcare, and he couldn’t move out because I had no income. I wanted to create a stable, independent home for me and my children, yet every path forward seemed blocked.

When I began using the tools I now teach — training my mind, holding my emotions differently, and focusing my thoughts on what I wanted rather than what I feared — the situation began to shift. Within weeks, I manifested a childcare place for my youngest, started a job as a social worker two months later, and another two months later, my ex-partner was able to move out.

What had felt completely stuck transformed into freedom. And that’s when I truly understood the creative power we hold when mind and emotion work together.

I stepped out of emotional dependence and into self-leadership, creating stability and freedom for myself and my children. I’m deeply grateful for every form of support that allowed this new chapter to unfold — but the real transformation came from within.
